Time is money and organ technicians usually start charging as soon as they enter the premises. So, you can take some steps to help reduce your bill by saving the repairmans time.
Remove any clutter
1 clear the organ off completely before the Tech arrives.
2 clear the space near the organ leave ample working room including room to pull the organ out.
Supply ample lighting
1 bring in an extra lamp if you have one
2 open the shades if there is a window nearby
Limit distractions
1 It's OK to ask questions but remember the clock
2 don't have a loud stereo or TV on in the vicinity of the organ, in churches don't play the drums / loud music
3 remove your pets
Keep your instrument clean
1 especially in churches organist should clean the keyboards and tabs with a damp cloth each week. A good rule of thumb is to clean it after rehearsal. That way each service you play a clean instrument
